Allied Domecq Appoints New Director, Group Human Resources

Allied Domecq PLC announces the appointment of Terry Nolan as Director, Group Human Resources effective 1st March 2004. Terry brings with him a wealth of international experience and joins from Unilever, where he was most recently Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Unilever’s Home and Personal Care division in Latin America. The Latin American business accounts for 36,000 people and $4bn sales across 23 countries.

During his career at Unilever Terry worked across many divisions and geographies and has a strong track record in the development of leadership and organizational ability. He joined Unilever as a trainee and spent the first 16 years of his career in operational HR roles at Birds Eye Walls. In 1991 he became Personnel Director for Lever Brothers and was later appointed to the role of HR Director for Lever and Elida Faberge – serving on the boards of each company simultaneously. In 1999 Terry moved to Unilever’s global HR team as Senior HR Development Manager.

Terry replaces Tom Brown who left Allied Domecq to rejoin his family in Australia.
